I am super excited to finally reveal our bathroom remodel! This was an exciting project to do. B had a lot of fun being able to help with little things and the transformation of this space is incredible.
We are currently in the process of renovating Brandon’s dad’s house in order to put it up on the market. After this, we will be renovating our fifth-wheel camper and all of us will be leaving Ohio!
We all helped in picking the materials for this room and think this space came together beautifully.

I am so happy with how this space turned out. When renovating this bathroom we wanted to keep it simple and fresh but also use any materials we had from previous jobs in order to keep costs down.
We ended up only being able to reuse the vanity. It was in good condition and looks beautiful now that it is painted and has updated hardware! We also were able to use leftover paint from the bedrooms which makes this space look even more airy and bright.
Everything else in this space is brand new. We got all of the materials, other than the countertops, bought at Lowes or Home Depot. We ordered the countertops from a local***
BEFORE Bathroom Renovation
Unfortunately, we started on this project a while ago and I didn’t take photos of the laminate flooring or old brown vanity. We had to take a short break on working here because the guys had gotten very busy with other work.
The guys had also taken out the doors and trim already and we had done the work to the vanity. We tried to get some things going before moving in, which is why I hadn’t thought to snap the photos. We moved in sooner than expected, then more jobs came up for the guys than anticipated pushing this project on the back burner for a bit.
This space before was dated and dark. The light fixture over the countertops was overwhelming and made the space feel smaller and the pink tub and shower just wasn’t doing it for this space!
DURING the bathroom renovation
We had to do just about everything to this space.
The first thing we did was paint the vanity and upper cabinets white and get a new faucet and new hardware. We used Valspar Signature.
Brandon and I decided on a black countertop. We got this at a local store in Middlefield, Ohio Miller Top Shop
From the beginning, I knew I wanted a larger subway tile for the shower. This is definitely my favorite part of this renovation! We brought the tile higher than the old insert which makes this space seem so much larger. We bought everything for the shower and bath at Lowe’s.
Brandon’s dad picked out the shower door which I absolutely love! I had a green curtain which you can see in a few photos hanging for a few days in between working on it but this door makes the shower seem even larger.
The large grey tile was also picked by Brandon’s dad at the very beginning of renovating this bathroom. It was an item that helped us decide on other things we wanted in the space. The larger size is definitely a favorite of mine!
We used leftover paint from the bedrooms which we also redid before moving in.
Me and Brooklyn had fun being able to help too! Brandon tought me how to do tile work on this project, which was such fun to learn! Brooklyn was all about being able to help paint.
AFTER The finished bathroom reveal!
I wanted this space to feel fresh. I wanted to keep things clean and bright. For the decor, I wanted to also add plenty of natural elements such as the runner, wood shelves, and greenery.
However, I also wanted to use what we already had around the house since we will only be in this space for about two months.
The countertop was one of the first pieces we picked, I love the way it stands out against the rest of the light, bright colors! The one thing that may not seem like it makes a big difference but was huge, is the light fixture. As soon as the big hanging dated pendants were gone that space instantly felt opened up.
I ordered a pair of shelves from Amazon for this space, however, one hanger broke and we couldn’t find a piece to replace this, so we only hung one up. I picked up the candle and small yellow flowers from Dollar General, the sign was gifted to us.
The white shower rug was from Target but I found a similar one on Amazon here. The gray stool I found at a local flea market. The natural runner is from Home Depot, but again, here’s a similar one on Amazon.
The two hanging photos and frames are both from AliExpress, I’ve had these both for a long time. I would like to change out the frames for this space, and I would recommend finding a different source if you do like these prints.
The bin on top of the toilet is also an older piece from Walmart. I couldn’t find the exact one, but I found similar ones here. It had a tan cloth insert that I removed.
The flower pot with the small cactus was from Dollar General. The tray on the countertop is also an older item from Marshalls.
