When decorating an apartment, it can be difficult to get a beautiful look and add functionality. I found it difficult to come up with storage solutions and to find pieces that fit right in our smaller space. So, I put together an ultimate list of amazon apartment must haves!
I wanted to give us the best space for the next year, while still saving money of course. Whether you’re looking for a list of products for your first apartment, or just looking for inspo – this post is for you!

Best Amazon Apartment Must Haves For The Kitchen
Apartment kitchens almost always lack storage and counter space. These are the best solutions to add more of this into the apartment itself or take advantage of what little space you may have!
Tip 1: Get quality pieces that also act as decor
A quick trick I personally use, when buying select items it can be worth it to splurge on more expensive high-quality pieces and then leave them out also as decor.
For example, I bought nice wooden cutting boards and leave them out on display on the counter. I could have spent half the money on cheaper ones, but I save storage space in the drawers by using these as decor and having them out and available!
The one I have isn’t from Amazon but my local Marshalls, but here is a really nice black walnut cutting board on Amazon that can double as decor:
2. Maximize storage with Rolling Storage Carts
If you have a narrow space between your cabinets and the wall, a rolling cart can provide extra storage but still stay out of sight. Check it out this popular one linked here.
3. Amazon Magnetic Fridge Shelves
If there is a bit of space on either side of your fridge, another option to add extra storage space is these magnetic shelves For your fridge. This one is a 5 pack, but personally, I like the one just with two shelves (below), or I guess you could also use command strips to any extra shelves or the paper towel holder and stick them elsewhere too!

4. Apartment Must Haves: Under-Sink Organizers
I LOVE these. Honestly having these in any low cabinet spaces is a back saver. Plus you also make the most of the space under your sink! Check out these two-tiered shelves that includes a cutout for piping.
This one is a little cheaper great too, it is adjustable for the piping as well.
5. (Cute) Drying Racks
Remember functional pieces that also serve as decor? This bamboo drying rack not only has plenty of room for dishes but with its design, it will also save counter space which is crucial in an apartment! The wood elements also adds decor to your kitchen!
This one is nice if you’d like to store away your drying rack afterwards and save on that counter space!
6. Nesting Bowls With Measuring Cups
I wish I had this 8 piece nesting set (we have a bunch of different sized colanders already and I can’t bear to just throw them away). But if you’re getting your first apartment and you plan to cook or bake – this is PERFECT for you. Every piece of this nests together and is a great space saver!
7. Over-the-Door Organizers
This doesn’t always work if there’s not enough of a gap between the tops of your cabinets, but consider getting over the door hangers for your cabinet doors if you can! Perfect for additional storage. This cheap solution is perfect. Saves money and keeps everything hidden away! This organizer is a two-in-one where you can also hang any towels on the front side as well.
8. Amazon Knife Block Sets
Okay there’s actually so many cute knife block sets on Amazon, but I thought this one was a little more unique. If you like following recipes on your iPhone or iPad like me, this rotating knife block is perfect for having a place to put your device without worrying about water damage.
9. Pan Organizer
I could not live without this pan organizer/stacker again! Never worry about having a messy cabinet of pans everywhere! It’s so affordable too and again, another BACK saver.
10. Wall Mounted Wine Racks
If you’re renting you might not be able to do this, but wall mounted wine racks are a beautiful way to display wine or other drinks while adding extra glass storage too! Totally fits within our theme of functional items that also act as decor!
11. Cabinet Organizers

Dining rooms in apartments always tend to be very small, in some cases non-existent. This means it is vital to make the most out of these spaces. You don’t’ want to overcrowd it, but you don’t want to be bare either.
In our dining room we have a small pony wall dividing it from the entrance and living room. Since it is right by the door I like to tuck away our choices behind this wall. But, this means they are right by the table so it is very important to keep this area clean, neat and smellin’ good.
